CLANORQUE® (“we”, “us”) is an apparel brand based in Toronto, Canada. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit this website or buy from us, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What we collect
- When you place an order: your name, email address, phone number, shipping and billing address, and what you bought. Card details are entered directly with our payment processor, Stripe — we never see or store your full card number.
- When you sign up for updates or ask to be notified: the email address or phone number you give us.
- Automatically: like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical information — such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested — to keep the site running and secure. We don’t use advertising or analytics trackers.
- On your device: your shopping bag is saved in your browser’s local storage so it’s still there when you come back. It stays on your device until you check out.
How we use it
- To process, ship and support your order, and send your receipt and order updates.
- To reply when you contact us.
- To send news and drops — only if you opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To keep the website secure and prevent fraud.
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We don’t sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers that help us run the shop, and only what they need:
- Stripe — payments and receipts (stripe.com/privacy).
- Cloudflare — hosts this website and protects it from attacks (cloudflare.com/privacypolicy).
- Google Fonts — supplies the site’s typeface. Your browser requests it from Google, which receives your IP address.
- Shipping carriers — your name, address and phone number, to deliver your order.
Some of these providers store information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to local laws. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as we need them to fulfil and support your order and to meet legal and tax record-keeping requirements. We keep your email or phone number for updates until you unsubscribe.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or stop using it for marketing. If you have a concern we can’t resolve, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, and payments are processed by Stripe over encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take care to limit what we collect and who can see it.
Children
This website isn’t intended for children, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
If we update this policy, we’ll post the new version here and change the effective date above.
